ENHANCING ACCESSIBILITY AND USABILITY IN IT FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES CONFERENCE: Members of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) Accessibility and Usability Working Group invite you to attend the CIC Accessibility and Usability Conference on June 15-16 at the Indiana Memorial Union at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss and plan methods for improving accessibility and usability in information technology for individuals with disabilities across partnering university campuses.

Howard Rosenbaum, Associate Dean of the Indiana University School of Library and Information Science, will present the Keynote Address, The Importance of Accessibility and Usability for Now and the Future, on June 15.

Attendees of the conference will have the chance to provide input on a variety of topics and areas of planning and action, including: alternative content and multimedia policies and techniques, assistive technology implementation, course management systems, education, library systems, promotion and training, and purchasing policies. We encourage everyone with an interest in accessibility and usability trends and practices to attend this direction-setting conference.

Please join our partnering institutions in this dialogue to enhance best practices across all CIC institutions and shape the future of accessibility and usability by registering at http://www.indiana.edu/~uits/cic_usability/index.html. Early registration is encouraged to secure accommodations at the Biddle Hotel at the Indiana Memorial Union by May 21.
