AUTISM EXPO: Easter Seals Crossroads in partnership with the Autism Society of America will host Autism Expo 2010 on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 10:00-1:00 p.m. at the Fountains Banquet and Conference Center in Carmel, Indiana. PUBLIC HEARINGS BY THE INDIANA BUREAU OF REHABILITATIVE SERVICES (BRS): The Indiana Bureau of Rehabilitative Services (BRS) is holding a series of public hearings about the annual revisions to the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) and the Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM). If you have ideas about how BRS or VRS can improve, now is your chance to share them.

JACKSON COUNTY TRANSITION FAIR: Seymour High School will be the location for the First Jackson County Transition Fair, scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Students with disabilities, their families, and teachers who want to learn more about resources available to students as they transition from school to the community should plan to attend!

DAVIESS-MARTIN SPECIAL EDUCATION COOPERATIVE TRANSITION FAIR: Washington High School, Washington Indiana will be the site host for the Daviess-Martin Special Education Cooperative Transition Fair, scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 9:00-8:00 p.m.
Navigating Life’s Highway is the Fair’s theme with the goal of pairing students with disabilities and their families with the resources needed to map their journey to success. Representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation, Bureau of Developmental Disabilities, Four Rivers, Daviess-Martin Special Education Co-Op, the National Guard, Vincennes University, and Ivy Tech will be in attendance. Gordon Homes, a Special Needs Financial Planner will be holding a workshop during the fair from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Monica Wagler at (812) 254-1530, Ext. 103.
FAMILY RESOURCE AND INFORMATION FAIR: The Westside Special Needs Network of Speedway United Methodist Church, 5065 West 16th Street, Indianapolis, will be holding a Family Resource and Information Fair on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10:00-2:00 p.m. Approximately 50 exhibitors will share free information about services available to individuals with disabilities and their families in central Indiana. THE ARC OF INDIANA ANNOUNCES NEW CAMPAIGN: THE Arc of Indiana is excited to announce a new initiative, Building Pathways to Empowerment - a campaign designed to take a fresh look at Indiana's system of programs and services for people with developmental disabilities and their families, and begin to redesign and redefine that system to one that provides what people want and need in the most sensible way possible.
