ADA-INDIANA AUDIO CONFERENCE ON ACCESS FOR CUSTOMERS WITH DISABILITIES: On Tuesday, May 18, (2:00-3:30 p.m. Eastern), ADA-Indiana will host an audio conference focusing on the hospitality industry and access for customers with disabilities in 12 Indiana locations. The audio conference will feature representatives from the hospitality industry and Marian Vessels, the Director of the Hospitality Initiative for the ADA National Network.

Customers with disabilities are a growing market in the hospitality industry. Millions of people with disabilities regularly travel, shop, and eat out with family and friends - which translates to an annual excess of 30 billion dollars in spending. These statistics make an excellent business case for providing access to customers with disabilities. In this session, learn more about what the hospitality industry is doing to serve this market and the experiences they’ve encountered along the way.

Audio conference site locations include Bloomington, Columbus, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Gary, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Merrillville, Muncie, Terre Haute, Vincennes, and West Lafayette.

For more information about this session, contact Matt Norris at (812) 855-6508, or e-mail adainfo@indiana.edu. Visit the ADA-Indiana for more specific information about site locations. The Indiana ADA Audio Conference program is sponsored by ADA-Indiana, Great Lakes ADA Center, and the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities.
