ADA-INDIANA AUDIO CONFERENCE – ARE YOUR RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACCESSIBLE
? Join ADA-Indiana to learn about best practices for approaching the assessments of recreation facilities to ensure that recreation programs are accessible in light of changing regulations and ongoing obligations on Tuesday, April 19 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. (EST).

The 2010 ADA Standards from the U.S. Department of Justice include specific technical requirements for several recreation environments including amusement rides, boating facilities, fishing piers and platforms, golf courses, miniature golf, sports facilities, and swimming pools and spas. Bringing these facilities into compliance as well as ensuring that future programs and facilities are accessible is a challenge that many local and state government entities are facing. Privately owned and operated facilities will also need to ensure that their facilities are accessible.

This audio conference will be held at seven Indiana locations and is free and open to the public. Locations include Bloomington, Gary, Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Versailles, Vincennes, and West Lafayette. Visit the ADA-Indiana website at http://www.adaindiana.org/audio for more specific information about these site locations. Questions? Contact Matt Norris at (812) 855-6508 or e-mail adainfo@indiana.edu.
