Valuable Resources and Tools to Get Out the Disability Vote
The Disability Advocacy Coalition Voter Education Project encourages people with disabilities, their families, friends, and advocates to be involved in the election process, and support issues that are important to them. The disability community comprises about 20% of society, making this the largest minority constituency in the country. As a non-partisan effort, this project strives to increase the voting power of the disability community and identify key issues that are pertinent in the 2012 elections so that individuals may make informed decisions when choosing elected officials. Visit http://www.dacvep.org/ to find valuable information and tools for individuals and organizations on registering to vote, increasing voter participation, voter education, accessibility, early voting options and getting out to vote on election day. Follow the Disability Advocacy Coalition Voter Education Project on Facebook and Twitter for updates about efforts toward voter participation, education, and assistance.
While this project is primarily focused on serving Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District, the resources and links provide valuable information for anyone who is interested in increasing voter participation within their community.

The Generations Project Wants to hear from People with Brain Injuries
The Generations Project is embarking on a state-wide listening tour to hear from people with brain injuries, their families, and caregivers. They want to know what services are working and what is still needed in Indiana.
The information from these meetings will be shared with advocates, policymakers, service providers, and everyone who wants to help improve the lives of people with brain injuries. Attendees will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at the meeting and turn it in. If you would like to fill out the questionnaire in advance, you can download and print a copy by visiting http://generationsproject.org/braininjury/BIT_Questionnaire.pdf (for persons with brain injuries) or http://generationsproject.org/braininjury/BIT_Questionnaire-Pro.pdf (for professionals).
