Students Supporting Students

The Indiana Secondary Transition Resource Center (INSTRC), at the Institute’s Center on Community Living and Careers, has created a new, web-based interactive curriculum for Indiana high school teens who are supporting students with disabilities as peer mentors or peer tutors.

Peer Mentoring: Learning Together walks students through their roles and responsibilities, how to provide support, building relationships and friendships, communication, challenging behaviors, supporting students in the community, and more. The full curriculum features both student and teacher modules, videos, interactive pop-ups and illustrations, and additional resources.

Peer Mentoring: Learning Together is free and is available on the INSTRC website. Click to access the student module. To access the teacher module, click here.
