ADA-Indiana January/February Audio Conference
ADA-Indiana is hosting a two-part audio conference series on recruiting people with disabilities for employers. Both audio conferences will feature speakers from the Employer Assistance and Recruiting Network (EARN), a nationwide cost-free recruiting and consultation service that connects employers with job seekers with disabilities directly and through a national network of employment services providers.
January's session (Tuesday, January 16 th from 2:00-3:30 p.m. (EST), entitled Where Can I Recruit Individuals with Disabilities?, will provide a general overview of EARN's core job promotion and consultative services as well as examples of how they can connect employers with national and local services. The February session will focus on the recruitment of veterans with disabilities. EARN will showcase resources and provide the opportunity for participants to speak to key members of these organizations to find out how they can assist you reaching out to veterans in your employment efforts.
Employers, state and local government officials, advocates, people with disabilities, and other interested community members are encouraged to participate. No pre-registration is required and sessions are free and open to the public. SHRM and CRC credits will be available.

Regional Social Security and Benefits Planning Workshops
The Indiana Institute's Center on Community Living and Careers, in conjunction with Vocational Rehabilitation Services, will host four regional two-day workshops on social security and benefits planning with learning objectives that include:
· Basics of supplemental security income and social security disability insurance;
· Work incentives for SSI;
· Work incentives for SSDI trial work periods; and
· Other federal and state programs such as Medicare and Medicare Part D.
Case managers, VR counselors, family members, persons with disabilities, BDDS personnel, representative payees, independent living personnel, transition coordinators, mental health personnel, advocates, employment specialists, and residential staff should plan to attend.
