WebAIM Webcast: Web Accessibility 2.0?
Web 2.0 is a term used to describe the recent trend in web applications and development. How will the recent trend in web applications and development impact people with disabilities? Will these technologies hold potential for people with disabilities or create new barriers? This web cast will explore and present how these innovative applications are changing the way users interact with web content.
The webcast will be held Wednesday, May 16th, 2007 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM (EDT) (12:00PM Pacific; 1:00PM Mountain; 2:00PM Central). The webcast will last approximately one hour. It will be captioned simultaneously for the deaf and hard of hearing and is free of charge.

Barrier-Free Web Design
This course is offered quarterly. The course does not teach html, but is designed to demonstrate creation of web pages that are fully accessible to users and visually pleasing.

Accessible Internet Multimedia: Podcasts, Vodcasts and Streaming
The multimedia formats are being used increasingly on the internet to deliver content. While multimedia can pose special problems it also provides a unique delivery of content to reach people with disabilities. Step-by-step instruction in how and when to provide synchronized captions and transcripts will be covered in this month-long course.

Train the Trainer Course in Adaptive Technologies
This month-long web based course will provide training on adaptive software, hardware technology, operating system accessibility features, and provide hands-on xperiences.
Sponsored by: Equal Access to Software and Information (EASI)
Registration: Registration is $350 with a $70 discount for students and participants from overseas.
The course is month-long and is entirely taught over the Internet with the use of the web and e-mail. for class sharing. There will also be several modules using multimedia, video, audio, PowerPoint etc.
