Derlita loves her Uncle Pucky, who has Down's Syndrome, but sometimes he embarrasses her. Derlita is afraid to have people come to her house because of what they might say about her Uncle. When the family moves to a new town, Derlita has trouble making new friends because she doesn't want them to know about her Uncle. But Avanelle won't let Derlita avoid her forever and Derlita is forced to realize the value of this new friendship and Pucky's enduring love.

I just finished The Man Who Loved Clowns at school, and I loved it! It had the funnyness and sadness that makes a great book! As it showed the life of Delrita, I was touched. Everybody must read this!
