Twelve-year-old Andrew Fleck has a chip on his shoulder. He also has attention deficit disorder. His dad has been in jail. His mother gave him up to the state, because he was too much to handle. He has been in and out of foster homes repeatedly. Then he meets Jeff and Laurie, who want to adopt him. Read this book to discover whether or not Andrew will go too far in misbehaving for Jeff and Laurie. Will Jeff and Laurie give up on Andrew after putting up with mailbox baseball, eating worms, getting in trouble at school, and stealing Jeff's wallet for his birth dad when he hunts his son up to beg money from him?
