Letter #1 = u: With the palm facing out and the pointer and middle fingers up side-by-side, place the thumb in front of the folded pinky and ring fingers;
Letter #2 = m: With the palm out and fingers in a fist, fold the thumb under the pointer, middle, and ring fingers;
Letter #3 = b: With the palm facing forward and fingers pointing up, fold the thumb across the inside of the palm.
Letter #4 = r: With palm facing out and other fingers folded, cross the pointer and middle fingers as they point up;
Letter #5 = e: With the palm facing forward and fingers in a fist, fold the thumb in and under the rest of the fingers;
Letter #6 = l: With the palm out and the pinky, ring, and middle fingers folded, point the pointer finger up and extend the thumb to the side;
Letter #7 = l: With the palm out and the pinky, ring, and middle fingers folded, point the pointer finger up and extend the thumb to the side;
Letter #8 = a: With the palm facing forward and fingers in a fist, point the thumb up touching the side of the pointer finger.
