May 15th - ADA Audio Conference: Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Emergency Planning
The May Audio Conference will feature Jessica Mitchell, a Disability Integration Specialist from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Join the session at any of the 11 Indiana locations, or even via the free web cast, to learn more about the community issues involving people with disabilities and emergency planning.

The Great Lakes ADA Center and the Great Plains ADA Center are hosting the ADA Symposium in Indianapolis: May 30th - June 1st
Early Registration ends April 30th! After that, registration increases by $100. The 3-day Symposium will feature presenters from the Federal Agencies (DOJ, EEOC, and the Access Board) and other industry experts. You can select a track based on your interest and educational needs, such as Recreation, ADA Coordinator, Employment, 2010 ADA Standards, or just select from the many other session topics that will be offered. A unique training opportunity for Indiana advocates and professionals.

- The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) has a new JAN E-News available - This issue has suggestions for a workplace "onboarding" process, accommodations ideas for employees who are deaf-blind, and interview tips for new graduates with Autism Spectrum Disorders. You can also find out more about JAN's activities and their upcoming events and trainings.
- The April issue of the Great Lakes Chronicle is available online - The April edition of the the Great Lakes Chronicle include news from the federal agencies: EEOC, Access Board, and DOJ.
