  2. Authorize allocations of grant monies.
  3. Review ADA implementation in Indiana.

History

ADA-Indiana was instituted in 1991, when the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research funded ten regional centers, the ADA National Network, to provide technical assistance to businesses and governmental agencies around the implementation of the ADA. Indiana became part of the six-state Great Lakes Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center coordinated by the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Steering Committee

ADA-Indiana is guided by volunteer board members, referred to as the Steering Committee Members. ADA-Indiana leadership includes an elected Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Past Chair.

Funding

ADA-Indiana receives funding from the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities and the Great Lakes ADA Center. The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Center for Planning and Policy Studies was chosen by the Steering Committee to be the fiscal agent for ADA-Indiana
