ADA Resources for Architects and Builders

The Built Environment

This past year ADA-Indiana hosted two Audio Conferences on the Built Environment and the ADA. The archived sessions with the audio and materials are available on the Great Lakes ADA Center's website: Creating Accessible Play Areas and Permanent Rooms and Spaces: Accessible Signage.

The Great Lakes Archives contains a category Architecture that contains all of the audio conferences they have had pertaining to this topic. Some of the older sessions are only offered as a text transcipt.

Learn about the ADA

There are many ways to learn about the Americans with Disabilities Act. Some of the resources we have available are listed below:

  • Monthly ADA Audio Conferences offered in several communities in the State. Generally there are some audio conferences that would be of interest to builders and architects.
  • Visit the publications page to learn about the books, videos, and DVD's on the ADA that can be obtained from the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community's lending library.
  • Check out the Online Training page for webcasts, webinars, and web course on the ADA. There is a specific category on Title III.
