Focus on State Policy

Early in 1999, Citizen Policy Forums were conducted across Indiana. The purpose of the Citizen Policy Forums was to provide information so people with disabilities and their family members will be more aware of legislative and budgetary issues that affect them.

Forums were held in the following places: Clarksville, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Portage, Terre Haute, and West Lafayette. Topics covered in the Forum include:

The Citizen Policy Forums were sponsored by the Indiana Governor's Planning Council for People with Disabilities. The Center for Planning and Policy Studies at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community carried out these forums. People with disabilities, family members, and interested community members attended this free event.
