Points of Entry: A Guide to Accessing Indiana's Services and Supports for Individuals with Disabilities is a publication produced by CPPS for individuals trying to sort out the "maze" of programs, services, and supports for persons with disabilities in Indiana.
Points of Entry is an attempt to simplify this maze by providing "user friendly" information about services provided through federal and state funding streams. The paramount goal of Points of Entry is to identify and facilitate access to services and supports that foster the community integration, independence, and productivity of people with disabilities.
The guidebook contains information about general community services and supports which are available to all citizens (whether they have disabilities or not) who meet eligibility requirements specified by the service agency.
It also provides information about services and supports which are specifically designed for people with disabilities.
The guide has six sections representing major need areas of people with disabilities:
Advocacy
Education
Employment/training
Health Care/Medical Assistance
Housing
Income Support
