What This Survey is About:
Without appropriate services and supports, people with disabilities have limited choices about where they live, learn, and work, and how they participate in their communities.
Service systems need to be improved and people and communities enlightened so that more services and supports are available and so that individuals with disabilities can experience the rights and responsibilities involved in making choices, contributing to society, and living independently.
Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services (IPAS) believes that with appropriate services and supports, people with disabilities can live, learn, work, and participate in all aspects of the community.
Because resources are limited, IPAS must focus its work on areas where its advocacy efforts and case selection may have the greatest impact. Please be aware that IPAS’ first and foremost responsibility is to reduce abuse and neglect.
Please help identify critical barriers that IPAS should consider as priority areas for their advocacy efforts - barriers that you believe, if eliminated or reduced, would benefit people the most.
Many of the barriers for IPAS are long term problems, and does not always have the authority or the resources to immediately resolve all issues. But your assistance will help us determine where we should target our efforts.
