Early Childhood Center Training Opportunities


As part of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University-Bloomington, Early Childhood Center staff engage in research, community outreach and training, university teaching, and product development to advance early education that works for ALL children. We are currently offering training:

  1. Promoting School Readiness: Research to Practice -- Eight workshops that focus on how preschool teachers can help children get ready for kindergarten

    • Reexamining the Classroom Day to Promote School Readiness
    • Targeting Skills That Make a Difference in Kindergarten
    • Teaching Strategies That Support Children's Thinking
    • Meaningful Language, Purposeful Literacy, Ready Children
    • Rethinking How We Can Use Free Choice Time
    • Adapting Your Teaching for Individual Learners
    • Designing Effective Transitions to Kindergarten
  2. Topics in Early Intervention--online trainings that address a variety of topics for early intervention providers.
