Employment Specialist Training, sponsored by the Center on Community Living and Careers, provides basic skills training to service providers who have worked as employment specialists for less than one year. Attendees learn best practices in job and career development, employment support planning, worksite analysis, follow along, and emerging industry trends. Training is provided by the Indiana Supported Employment Training Team (ISETT).
Employment Specialist Training is offered in a blended format (primarily online with a face-to-face component) or as a six-day, face-to-face training split into two sessions held one month apart. Individuals who attend all sessions of either the blended online or face-to-face training and successfully complete all assignments receive a competency-based certificate from Indiana University. CEUs are available.
Select from four different training sessions, in either a blended format (primarily online with two face-to-face components) or face-to-face (six days of in-person training).
