Annual Disability Polls for Indiana

The annual Disability Poll is a joint project of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community,  Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, and Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services. The Center for Planning and Policy Studies at the Institute conducts the survey and prepares the report each year.

What is the Indiana Disability Poll?

Each year, a topic of interest to the disability community is selected, and then an online survey is developed. Each Disability Poll is inaugurated at the Disability Conference in Indianapolis, where kiosks are set up to allow participants to complete the survey during the conference days. Following the conference, the Disability Poll is available online at www.thepollingplace.org  and also in paper and other alternative formats. Results are announced in the spring/summer.

2013 Indiana Disability Poll: Focus on Health Issues

This year, the focus of the Indiana Disability Poll is on Health Issues. We are asking people with disabilities, family members, and professionals in the disability field to share their thoughts on health issues such as access to health care, health and wellness activities, and other health-related topics.  You can complete the 2013 Poll online at www.thepollingplace.org  or contact us for alternative formats (call 812-855-6508, or email cpps@indiana.edu).
