Supporting the ADA in Indiana

Staff at the Center for Planning and Policy Studies provide ongoing technical assistance and staff support to the ADA-Indiana for the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The staff works with the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities and the Great Lakes ADA Center (based at University of Illinois in Chicago) on this project. As part of their involvement, the Center engages in the following activities:
  • Designing and maintaining the ADA-Indiana Home Page;
  • Serving as the fiscal agent for ADA-Indiana, Indiana's State Steering Committee for implementation of the ADA.
  • Coordinating special projects such as the specialized trainings and the ADA Celebration in July
  • Administering the Keith Corros Community ADA Implementation Grants Program which funds local community groups to conduct innovative projects that enhance the implementation of the ADA.

Disseminating ADA Information

  • Staff at the Center for Planning and Policy Studies serve as a central point of contact for ADA questions and as an ADA information resource.
  • Staff at the Center for Planning and Policy Studies work with the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community Library to build the Institute's library collection of ADA materials.
