The Center for Planning and Policy Studies supports publication of materials that assist individuals with disabilities to access community services and supports more easily, understand policymaking processes, and move towards becoming self-advocates. Examples of center publications include:

Annual Disability Polls for Indiana

The annual Disability Poll is a joint project of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community,  Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, and Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services. The Center for Planning and Policy Studies at the Institute conducts the survey and prepares the report each year.

Research and Studies 

The Center for Planning and Policy Studies performs research and surveys under contract with various Indiana agencies and organizations. Some of the reports have been made available online:

• 2011 Critical Barriers Survey  - Indiana Protection and Advocacy has made this report available on their website for the public.
• 2010 Great Lakes Region ADA Report Cards - The Great Lakes Region ADA Report Cards were based on a survey conducted by the Center for Planning and Policy Studies in several states:  Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The Great Lakes ADA Center has made the ADA Report Cards available for viewing online or download. The 2010 ADA Report Card for Indiana is available on ADA-Indiana's ADA Report Card page.
  
• Time-Out, Seclusion, and Restraint in Public Indiana Schools (2008) - Indiana Protection and Advocacy has made the literature review and final report available on their website for the public. 
  

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Materials

The Center for Planning and Policy Studies maintains a supply of printed materials on the Americans with Disabilities Act as part of our role as the Fiscal Agent and Staff Support for the ADA-Indiana Steering Committee (a joint collaboration between the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities, and the Great Lakes ADA Center).
