Training

AIM Modules – Picture Exchange Communication System Module, This site contains the Autism Internet Modules (AIM modules) that have been developed by a consortium of professionals and organizations across the US and Canada. The goal is to provide free training in evidence-based practices.IRCA staff has also been involved in the development of these modules.

ICAN - This site is for anyone who lives with, teaches, or otherwise supports children and youth with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including parents, teachers, and individuals with ASD. No background knowledge about ASD is necessary to use the site. ICAN was developed for anyone who wants to learn information related to individuals with ASD and made the site as accessible as possible. This link provides information on AAC. This site is FREE for public access.

Technology

PATINS Project - The PATINS Project is a state-wide technical assistance network for the provision of assistive/accessible technology for assisting local educational agencies in the utilization and creation of accessible learning environments and instructional materials.

INDATA - In 2007, Easter Seals Crossroads partnered with the State of Indiana, Bureau of Rehabilitative Services to establish the Indiana Assistive Technology Act (INDATA) Project.The INDATA Project is one of 56 similar, federally-funded projects designed to increase access and awareness of assistive technology.

IPad, IPod Touch, and IPhone– Apple products offer easy-to-learn tools that encourage students to communicate.Apps are software applications to use on these devices.
