CPPS Mission

The mission of the Center for Planning and Policy Studies is to promote systems change that helps communities and organizations include, support, and empower people with disabilities.
 
The Center accomplishes this by facilitating collaborative planning and by advocating policies that result in full participation of people with disabilities in community life.

The Center is involved in a variety of public policy and planning activities. Center staff work directly with various state and local agencies, parent groups, and consumer organizations to improve programs and policies that affect persons with disabilities. In addition, the Center's research interests focus on consumer-generated models of policy development.
