Relationships, Romance and Intimacy

Duration: 3-4 hours

The word "sexuality" is an emotionally charged word that can make people uncomfortable, what happens when you pair that with the word "disability"? For many years those words weren’t paired together. However, today people with disabilities are exercising their right to be in a loving relationship more freely than in the past. They are falling in love. Some are getting married and some are having children.

They have said, "we are sexual beings and are interested in knowing how to express our sexuality in safe and healthy ways". They want to have relationships of their own choosing, in their own time frame, and shaped by their own values.

They are asking for information about developing more relationships and finding romance and need support to help them understand their feelings, stay safe, and enjoy intimate relationships.

This workshop is designed to provide you with information to answer their questions and provide the support they want as well as appraise your own values around this topic.
