Michael Conn-Powers, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Conn-Powers has worked in the field of early intervention for over 30 years. He is currently a Research Associate at Indiana University, an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Education, and Director of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community's Early Childhood Center. His previous positions have included early interventionist, preschool teacher, state administrator, university professor, and consultant. Over the past 5 years, Dr. Conn-Powers has been extensively involved in research and product development in the areas of early intervention, service coordination, school readiness, and universal design. Dr. Conn-Powers has also been involved with designing and implementing Indiana's First Steps (Part C) child and family outcome evaluation system.

Currently, Michael is working on a number of Center projects, including the Early Childhood Meeting Place website, Promoting School Readiness research project, and the ongoing evaluation of Indiana's First Steps program (Unified Training System).
