Dan Pierz is the Instructional Systems Technology Developer for the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community’s Center on Community Living and Careers at Indiana University. What this means in practice is using a combination of background skills gained in Anthropology, Library, and Information Science to create a variety of web and electronic based resources that are of value to the community. Of particular interest is addressing the challenge of broadening the understanding of what accessibility means on the web. Dan strives constantly to take that term beyond designing around a specific set of user abilities, instead creating work that is as intuitive and easy to use as possible for all users, regardless of ability status.
