ABOUT IIDC
Beverly Sturgeon is the Accounting Associate for the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University, Bloomington. She assists the fiscal officer with financial management of all accounts for the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community. Beverly audits, maintains, and reconciles IU contract and grant accounts to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. She also maintains records of financial transactions and compiles and analyzes information to prepare reports on a monthly basis and as requested. Processes financial documents into the FIS system and verifies that information is correct and resolves all discrepancies. Investigates and resolves any phone or email inquiries regarding procedures or account status. Processes biweekly and monthly payroll for approximately 70 staff and verifies all EDOCs being submitted by the Institute. Verifies all travel requests and reimbursements for the Institute along with all Purchasing Order and Procurement Card orders. In addition, serves as liaison with payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables and Purchasing.
