Sharon Hauss, M.S.

Sharon Hauss has worked at the Institute as a Research Associate since 1992, bringing with her a combination of professional as well as first hand experience in the field of disabilities. Sharon has a BS degree in Elementary Education and a MS degree in Special Education, both from Indiana University.  Sharon also is an adjunct instructor in the Indiana University’s School of Education.

Sharon Hauss’ areas of interest and expertise are in education for all children, families, early childhood issues, assistive technology, accessibility and ADA, as well as community living. Sharon's youngest son, Michael, has a significant physical disability, uses many assistive devices in his daily life, and completed a post-secondary education degree from Ivy Tech State College.
