Our Guiding Principles

Collective standards that guide who we are and what we do

Our work is:

Transformational: CELL encourages an inquiry-based process for people to listen, reflect, create and practice. We are committed to personal and professional growth that fosters a deep respect for the learner. We view our role as a designer of learning experiences.

Knowledge-driven: CELL is committed to promoting and facilitating a culture that generates, uses and shares knowledge.

Community-minded: CELL fosters the idea of community: a culture of caring and inclusion focused on a collective sense of purpose.

Sustainable: CELL seeks to build the leadership and system capacities so that the work is sustainable over time.

Participatory: CELL is committed to building systems for all people to be active participants in shaping their future.

Mission-driven: CELL acts intentionally to work with schools and communities to welcome, include, educate and support all learners. It is through the lens of this mission that what we do and create is assessed.
