ASA is a national organization that engages in legislative and advocacy efforts and also disseminates information on behalf of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and holds a national conference each July.

The AARI Newsletter provides information on current research related to individuals across the autism spectrum. The annual subscription for individuals is $18.00. The subscription fee outside the U.S. is $20.00. The Autism Research Institute (ARI) also maintains a web site and produces and distributes a variety of information packets, videos and audio tapes many related to biomedical treatment of autism spectrum disorders. Their focus is on autism spectrum disorders in relation to a wide variety fields emphasizing biomedical treatments.
