Northern and Southern Indiana Works, the agencies that have helped beneficiaries implement work incentives and improve employment outcomes, will not be providing services after June 30, 2012. Congress did not reauthorize the funding for the program, although it may do so in the future. Beneficiaries who have relied on this service in the past are encouraged to call the Ticket to Work helpline at 1-866-968-7842. National Employment Network Association Annual Conference

The National Employment Network Association (NENA) will be holding its 2nd annual conference September 5-7 in Las Vegas, NV, at the Golden Nugget Hotel. Due to its tremendous success last year, this year's conference will be a full day longer, with more training and networking opportunities. Click here for more information or to register.

  Tracking a beneficiary's progress toward self-sufficiency
Social Security tracks a beneficiary's progress by conducting "timely progress reviews." Each year that a person's ticket is assigned to an Employment Network (EN) the expectations slightly increase. MAXIMUS conducts these reviews at the end of every 12-month period to determine if the person is making progress toward self-sufficiency. What are an EN's responsibilities? Click here.

Did you know...?

Universal Auto Pay is one way ENs can reduce the administrative burden of operating a Ticket to Work program. As an EN, once you sign up, all beneficiaries you work with are automatically enrolled, and you can get paid for your work much faster. Other benefits:
  • Provides an earnings alert
  • One Outcome payment request leads to auto payments
  • educes the time lag between Outcome 12 and Outcome 13 payments.
