Malena Nygaard is a graduate research assistant with the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Nygaard is trained with a background in special education and values school as a resource for children to have access to professional, ethical, and fully comprehensive services.
Personal and professional experiences have guided her towards a path in advocacy, social justice, and school psychology. Through working at CCLC, Nygaard is able to use her understanding of special education to promote partnerships between students, families, schools, and agencies in Indiana.
Nygaard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Special Education from Texas A&M University. Nygaard is pursuing a doctorate in School Psychology at Indiana University.
