Nancy Owen serves as the data entry specialist for the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC), FINDER project (Indiana Disability Research Finder), housed within the IIDC Library. FINDER is an online tool for the entire disability community of Indiana. It helps connect Hoosiers with disabilities with the service providers, resources, and events of interest to them.
Owen is a retired research librarian and educator from Illinois public library and school systems. She has an adult child with IDD who is in supported living in Bloomington and receives services from Stone Belt/Arc. She serves on their board of directors.
Degrees
Owen holds a Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Library Science from Dominican University and a Master's degree in Secondary Education from Saint Xavier University, Chicago.
