Tools, Materials & Partnerships
Practical resources and real-world partnerships
HANDS tools and materials translate the HANDS Model into usable supports for individuals, families, professionals, teams, and organizations. That work is strengthened by sustained partnerships at international, national, state, and community levels — relationships that help develop, test, and refine these resources in authentic settings.

Where These Resources Come From: Our Partnerships
Learning across settings and communities
Many of these tools exist because HANDS has grown through sustained relationships at international, national, state, and community levels — the same settings these tools and materials are built for.
Partnership Is Part of the Model
Real-world learning depends on the knowledge of people who live and work in each setting. HANDS partners with individuals, families, practitioners, organizations, universities, agencies, community groups, funders, and other collaborators to define needs, bring different forms of expertise together, build practical supports, and learn from implementation.
Reciprocal and Locally Led
HANDS approaches partnership as reciprocal learning rather than one-way transfer. Local priorities, cultural and community knowledge, language, workforce conditions, policy, available resources, and existing approaches guide decisions about fit, adaptation, delivery, and sustainability.
Demonstration Sites and Partnership Settings
Demonstration and partnership settings allow teams to examine how practices are used under authentic conditions — identifying core elements, testing adaptations, strengthening training and coaching, and documenting what supports continued use.
Building Local Capacity
Partnerships strengthen the knowledge, skills, structures, and local leadership needed to carry the work forward — preparing local trainers or coaches, developing practical tools, and planning for sustainability.

HANDS Partnerships Within CBSI
This page is the home for the established HANDS network, named collaborations, and HANDS-specific history across international, national, state, and community settings, alongside the tools and materials that network has helped produce. CBSI builds from those relationships when a current project reaches across programs, disciplines, populations, workforces, organizations, or systems.
