Scale with quality and context
National work is not simply a larger version of a local project. It requires clear core components, flexible elements, implementation guidance, training and coaching capacity, meaningful measures, and ways to learn across sites. CBSI can contribute the intermediary infrastructure needed to connect research, product or curriculum development, partner learning, and real-world implementation.Areas in Development

Connection to HANDS
Extending what HANDS has learned across settings
HANDS in Autism® has built national relationships through training, ECHO learning communities, online instruction, consultation, and train-the-trainer approaches. These experiences have shown how shared methods can be adapted for different communities while maintaining the core elements that support quality. CBSI builds on this foundation to develop broader learning, workforce, and systems initiatives with partners across the United States.
HANDS National PartnershipsMoving Work Toward Broader Use
CBSI works with partners to determine whether an approach is ready to extend beyond its original setting. Together, we:
- Define the shared need and the people who will use or experience the approach.
- Identify which elements must remain consistent and which can be adapted.
- Test usability, fit, implementation, and outcomes in varied settings.
- Prepare the training, coaching, data, technology, and local leadership needed for quality use.
- Expand when evidence, partner capacity, safeguards, and local conditions support the next step.
