State Initiatives
Responding to Priorities Across Indiana
CBSI brings together community knowledge, practice expertise, applied research, training, and implementation support to address issues that cross local programs and statewide systems.
Statewide Role
Connect priorities, partners, and implementation
State initiatives may begin with a need identified by people and communities, a gap seen across schools or services, a legislative or agency priority, or a promising local approach that could benefit more communities. CBSI can help clarify the need, convene the right perspectives, develop or adapt practical resources and training, test implementation in context, evaluate progress, and prepare teams for responsible expansion.
Current Project: Peers as Partners Network
Funded by the Organization for Autism Research (OAR), the Peers as Partners Network is an initiative launching across Indiana to support autistic and non-autistic students as peer leaders in their schools. The network connects student voice, school partnership, autism understanding, mentoring, and locally sustained action.
