There is now a one-stop news shop for individuals, families, and professionals interested in receiving information on employment issues, preparing for the transition to life after high school, adult services, and independent living. IIDC's Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) invites you to stay up to date by subscribing to one or more of the center's emails, blogs, or newsletters.
On the new Engage with Us webpage, located on the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community website, readers will find a list of publications produced and distributed by the Institute and its seven centers. Those include CCLC's:
- Tuesday's Transition Tips, a weekly email distributed during the school year, providing resources, strategies, and information for Indiana’s teachers and other transition professionals who support students with disabilities preparing to transition to life after high school.
- Adria’s Notebook, a blog from IIDC's own Adria Nassim, offering personal perspectives, tips, and insights on life with her dog Lucy, making and keeping friends, working with direct support professionals, and living independently with community supports.
- Shared Solutions, a montlhy blog featuring information and resources for employment professionals supporting integrated, community employment outcomes for Indiana job seekers and employees with disabilities.
