The Employment Technical Assistance team of the Center on Community Living and Careers will facilitate “Supported Employment: Developing Natural Supports,” online training for Indiana employment specialists, October 15-30.
"Supported Employment: Developing Natural Supports" assists employment professionals as they learn how to develop real-world, on-the-job and off-site relationships and assistance for employees with disabilities. Just as we all have our go-to assists on the job, new employees with disabilities may need guidance to learn to develop their own on-site supports. Establishing supports through new relationships, or “natural supports” is key to an employee's long-term success.
Training will begin with a Zoom meeting on October 15, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Eastern Time. Participants will have access to online content from October 15-30.
Visit the IU Events Calendar for more information and to register. Registration is $50 per person. For questions, contact the Employment TA team at EmployTA@indiana.edu.
