IIDC's Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) recently updated "Working with Indiana VR," an engaging, helpful video for Hoosier families, transitioning students, and adults with disabilities who are interested in using vocational rehabilitation employment services.
Available in Spanish and English, the video was created for and with funding from Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation. It uses a colorful, quick-draw technique to explain VR’s application and eligibility process and to describe services available for job seekers, students with a postsecondary education goal, and employees who are looking for a new job or who have a new employment goal.
This year, “Working with Indiana VR” includes information on Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and VR’s order of selection, the process by which VR determines who is eligible for services when a state’s financial or personnel resources make it difficult to serve all applicants.
First published in 2015, the original "Working with Indiana VR" video was viewed by over 12,000 people. It has become a go-to resource for many family support groups, transition teachers, community rehabilitation professionals, and VR counselors.
