During Facing the Future Together, state and national speakers will engage with our audiences in panel discussions, workshops, and “aha!” presentations about:
- future planning,
- transition assessments and IEPs,
- jobs and career planning,
- postsecondary education,
- independent living,
- assistive technologies, and
- so much more.
The conference, the first of its kind in 10 years, will be facilitated online by the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC). You’ll be able to connect with presenters using a special, interactive conference app that allows you to move around the conference, visit exhibitors, and check out our Facing the Future Together resources.
See the navigation at left for information on keynote speakers, presenter bios, and the tentative schedule for each of the three days of the conference.
Attendees, you’ll find more information at the registration link.
Cost: $20 per day; $60 for all three days.
Important: When registering, each participant will need to create their own account. Due to the way our registration system works, two or more people (e.g., co-workers, family members) will not be able to use the same email address. Each attendee must register separately.
Prior to the conference, you’ll receive a link and instructions for setting up Whova, our conference presentation platform.
With Whova you can check to see which sessions you’d like to visit throughout the day and move from one presentation to another if you’d like. You can also check in with our exhibitors to see all that they have to offer or even to chat in person with them.
Accommodations & Accessibility
We believe in access!
Attendees at all Facing the Future Together keynote presentations and breakout sessions will have access to CART live-captioning services and ASL interpreters.
Conference presentations and accompanying materials and handouts will be created and provided by the presenters themselves. In order to ensure that all attendees have the chance to fully participate and take advantage of all the conference has to offer, the Center on Community Living and Careers will provide all presenters with accessible documentation and presentation training prior to Facing the Future Together.
