Women in Parks Leadership Program Sold Out!
The 2025 Great Lakes Park Training Institute (GLPTI) will be February 24-27, 2025, at the Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park and virtually! Held every year since 1947, GLPTI is the longest running training conference for parks professionals in the nation.
GLPTI features educational sessions along 4 distinct tracks- Park and Facility Maintenance, Personnel and Career Development, Natural Resource Management, and Natural and Cultural Interpretation. Sessions are presented in a variety of ways including concurrent breakout sessions, interactive workshops, and full audience general sessions. A selection of sessions will be either presented as a webinar or live streamed for the virtual audience. Several networking opportunities and social events round out the GLPTI program. Visit https://glpti.org/ for more information and to register.
GLPTI’s Women in Parks Leadership Program, held for the first time since 2010, will help future leaders meet several significant challenges in leading park agencies, especially as these spaces evolve to meet the demands of changing climates, health needs, and the diversity of the nation. The program is led by an instructional team of leaders from the National Park Service, park and recreation districts, conservation districts and the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands. Demand for this program has been very high and is, in fact, sold out with registration closed for 2025. Due to its popularity, the program is anticipated to return in 2026!
