Sandy Block, M.Ed.

Sandy Block, M.Ed., is a research Associate with the Indiana Institute's Center on Community Living and Careers. Block began working in human services in 1983, with one of Kentucky’s first supported employment programs. Her areas of interest include customized employment, representational theory, systems change, personal futures planning, and inclusion. Block has worked to improve meaningful outcomes for marginalized individuals through program development and implementation, consultation and technical assistance, customized employment, and content training development. She holds a strong belief in presumption of employability and access to ‘the good things in life’ for all citizens. Block serves on the Terrill Foundation and UK’s Leadership Academy. Block received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Indiana University and her Master’s Degree in Education also from Indiana University.
