Originally from the Louisville area, I have lived in Bloomington since the fall of 2004. Previous work experience includes the areas of student development, research regarding Children with Special Healthcare Needs and utilization of healthcare services, as well as children’s mental health and racial disparities. I served as the Program Coordinator for the Dyson Initiative at the IU School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, since its inception in 2002. In 2005, I obtained my Masters of Library Science specializing in public librarianship with an emphasis on children’s services with the intention of working in this field. However, instead I continued to pursue more academic goals through my position with the Dyson Initiative. I enjoy working collaboratively with community based organizations and multidisciplinary partners in achieving mutually beneficial goals. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Bruce and friends and family.
