Mackenzie Jones is a graduate assistant for the Center for Health Equity and is currently working on the Oral Health Project. Mackenzie is a 2nd year Master of Public Health student with a concentration in Professional Health Education from the IU School of Public Health – Bloomington. She earned a Bachelor of Science in both Health Science and Communication Disorders from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Mackenzie is passionate about the delivery of equitable healthcare for those with disabilities, specifically as it relates to disability awareness, cultural competence, and communication accessibility. Her research interests include the accessibility and inclusivity of health care services, the importance of the patient-provider relationship, and the influence disability sensitivity training has on healthcare delivery.
