Stacey started at the Institute in July 1996 working at the Center for Planning and Policy Studies. In the summer of 2014, she assumed the position of Accounting Associate. As Accounting Associate, Stacey assists the fiscal officer with financial management of all accounts for the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community. Stacey audits, maintains, and reconciles IU contract and grant accounts to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. She also maintains records of financial transactions and compiles and analyzes information to prepare reports on a monthly basis and as requested. Processes financial documents into the FIS system and verifies that information is correct and resolves all discrepancies. Investigates and resolves any phone or email inquiries regarding procedures or account status. Processes biweekly and monthly payroll for approximately 70 staff and verifies all EDOCs being submitted by the Institute. Verifies all travel requests and reimbursements for the Institute along with all Purchasing Order and Procurement Card orders. In addition, serves as liaison with payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables and Purchasing.
Additonally, Stacey manage the Institute’s NIRS data reporting system, a web-based data reporting and retrieval system for the AUCD Network, through training of staff and monitoring entries, data clean up, and reporting for the Institute’s Annual Contract Report. Serve as the departments continuing education coordinator, approving continuing education application requests and processing of participant credits.
