Options for Better Living
Meet Brittany Moore (pictured above) who is a Networking Team Manager at Options for Better Living in Bloomington. Brittany will graduate this summer with a certificate from the Direct Support Professional in Human Services program from Ivy Tech in Bloomington. The Direct Support Professional Development program is a training initiative designed to support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and help them gain new information, learn new skills, and make career connections. The program was created through a unique partnership between the Indiana Institute's Center on Community Living and Careers, Ivy Tech Community College, the state of Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services, nine participating service providers, families, self-advocates, direct support professionals themselves, and a broad coalition of state and professional organizations.
INARF is the principal membership organization in Indiana representing providers of services to people with disabilities. For 34 years, INARF has maintained relationships with governmental agencies responsible for human service programs, promoted networking opportunities for members, coordinated quality professional development programs, and provided leadership and support in the promotion of quality programs for persons with disabilities.
