Welcome!

The mission of the Center on Education and Lifelong Learning is to work with schools and communities to welcome, include, educate and support all learners.
“To work with schools and communities”
It is our belief that improved schools result in improved communities and improved communities result in improved schools. We understand the interdependent relationship. Therefore, we see a responsibility to collaborate and connect with community partners if we are to see our mission realized.
“to welcome, include, educate and support”
This is the core of our mission; it defines the outcomes that we individually and collectively value.
“all learners”
From the time that the Center was created in 1999, the word “all” has represented our strong philosophy of inclusiveness. As we work with schools and communities, the outcomes we value are extended to learners across the lifespan; we are committed to lifelong learning for ourselves and for those with whom we work.
How Can We Support You?
The Center on Education and Lifelong Learning supports schools in a variety of ways. We assist schools and districts in developing leadership teams that represent all school/community stakeholders and facilitate the teams' efforts as they pursue the schools' self-designated goals. The center also provides support and ongoing professional development to enhance the leadership skills of school administrators. Professional growth opportunities are available in several key areas, such as collaboration and teaming; data-based decision-making; differentiating instruction; school-wide positive behavior support; service learning; and on-going evaluation of programs and student learning.
