A 2002 study by the Indiana Institute’s Center on Education and Lifelong Learning and published in the Journal of Special Education (https://tinyurl.com/53pw93hp), concluded that Indiana high school students with disabilities who spent 80% of their educational time in general education classrooms scored higher on state reading and math assessments and were better prepared for postsecondary education and employment opportunities than their peers in less inclusive settings.

Using data from the Access to Higher Education Survey, a nationally representative sample of adults ages 18 to 40, researchers from the Williams Institute in collaboration with the Point Foundation examine the school experiences and higher education environments of LGBTQ people of color.
