Have you ever had to be two places at once? We have (and we loved it!)

Tuesday, December 16, 2025

The Eppley Center hit the road in early November and exhibited at two professional conferences during the week of November 11th.

We were thrilled to be a part of the National Association for Interpretation’s (NAI) Annual Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While there, we met with interpreters from across the northern hemisphere who are working in museums, aquaria, zoos, outdoor learning centers, community parks, federal public lands, and many other spaces. Interpretation is connection and we did a lot of connecting with our current and previous partners as well as new, prospective partners. We also shared information about our online interpretation courses, and helped hundreds of attendees uncover their “interpretive personality” at our booth.

The Eppley team was also proud to exhibit at the Indiana Parks & Recreation Association (IPRA) Conference & Expo, held at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie, Indiana. We had the great pleasure to connect with parks and recreation professionals from across the state of Indiana at our booth, including many past project partners — and hopefully future collaborators as well!

Our booth in the IPRA Exhibit Hall showcased recent project work spanning training and our IU Expand online course catalog, accessibility, applied research and evaluation, and park system master planning. We also shared information about our signature professional development conferences. These included the Great Lakes Park Training Institute, held February 23–26, 2026 at Pokagon State Park, and the US Play Coalition National Conference on the Value of Play, taking place April 28–30 in Bloomington.

We hope to see you “on the road” at a conference in 2026!
